Eight-nine new cases of Covid-19 infection, the highest on a single day, were confirmed on Saturday (March 21) by the Public Health Ministry.
This takes the total number of infections in Thailand to 411 so far.
Fifty-one of the new cases had contact with other Covid-19 patients with 32 being linked to Lumphinee Boxing Stadium, a hotbed of infection in the country.
The source of infection of the other 38 patients is not known yet.
