Five doctors, 15 nurses, one public health academic and seven other hospital staff now face the chance of developing Covid-19 as they were exposed to the said patient from April 6 to 14.
Hence, the director said, the hospital is being forced to suspend services provided to normal patients, including medical examinations, from April 15 to 25.
However, patients with respiratory complaints or those suspected of Covid-19 infection will be tended to as usual. As for chronic patients who require their regular medication can contact their relevant departments.
On Thursday, the director said that 10 of the personnel will be sent to hospitals in Songkhla province, while the rest along with the patient and the medics’ relatives will be sent to Narathiwat’s Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Hospital.
