In a Facebook post, he said that the Covid-19 pandemic had emerged in India and later spread to Bangladesh and Myanmar, while the number of patients in Myanmar had increased sharply.
“So far, Covid-19 has come to Thailand from people travelling by airplane, but soon it will spread from people travelling through the borders,” he said.
“For example, Chikungunya previously emerged in foreign countries before spreading to Thailand.”
He said from now on, the country must issue stricter Covid-19 preventive measures to contain the spread of disease as much as possible.
“To enable people to live as normal and reduce deaths, everyone must work together; people must not forget to wear face mask, wash their hands regularly and maintain physical distance with others,” he added.
