Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Industry said he had instructed department heads to re- arrange work shifts to lessen the number of people in the offices at a time, or letting staff work from the safety of their homes.
“We have ordered all departments to apply information technology, such as video conferencing, video call, and using Line application or email in providing service to the public, starting from March 23,” he said.
He said ministry officers have been following prevention guidelines, such as cleaning hands with sanitising gel, taking temperature check, and using elevators not more than six people at a time.
“We have been disinfecting offices while hand sanitisers are provided on all floors,” he said.
“Also, we have asked industrial plants to comply with Covid-19 prevention and surveillance measures.”
He added that although the ministry would adjust the work process, it will be able to maintain its standard of performance, while helping to contain spread of the virus.
