Speaking at the “Mob Fest” on Saturday for “Free Women”, a group of female protesters focused on suppression and harassment, she was asked about the laws that were used against the protesters.
She responded that the laws had to be questioned for their appropriateness as in some cases Section 116 related to sedition was slapped on people who protested about welfare.
Rung then asked the government not to undermine the people, as sovereignty belongs to the citizens of the nation.
She also said that now the protesters no longer needed leaders as the ideology has been planted in the public.
In addition, pro-democracy activist Parit “Penguin” Chiwarak also took the stage, telling thousands of protesters of his experience in jail before he was released on bail.
He reiterated a call for reform of the monarchy and vowed solidarity with the pro-democracy protesters.
