Phang Nga authorities decided to lift the lockdown on Koh Yao district as well as Koh Yao Yai sub-district on Tuesday (April 28) now that there have been no new Covid-19 cases in the district over the past 14 days.
The decision was announced on the provincial health office’s Facebook page.
The unlocking measure means people can travel to and from Koh Yao and Koh Yao Yai, provided travel is kept within the province.
Shops, however, must close at 10pm in line with the nationwide night curfew.
Koh Yao and Koh Yao Yai have been under lockdown since April 9 in a bid to curb the contagion.
